This is a very intriguing chapter! It starts out with the concept of motivation. 
 
Why do you do the things you do? 
Can someone make you do something you do not want to do?
 
In this chapter we will find out why you do what you do and that no on can make you do anything you really don't want to do. Then later 
we will see how emotion plays a role.

  1. Which level of Maslow's hierarchy of needs most occupies your time and energy and why? 

  2. Name at least one activity you do that is intrinsically motivated and one activity that is extrinsically motivated. Ensure you provide explanations, using concepts from the text (Pages 391 and 392), for how you respond
